HEIGHT SAFETY FAQS
How often do anchor points need to be inspected?
Under AS/NZS 1891.4, anchor points and height safety systems should be inspected at least every 12 months, or more often if the manufacturer or site conditions require it. We can book in annual inspections so your building stays compliant and works aren’t held up.
Who is responsible for anchor points in a strata building?
Anchor points are usually on common property, so they are generally the responsibility of the body corporate. The building manager or strata committee normally arranges inspections and keeps the certification records.
What happens if our anchors are out of certification?
Anchors that are out of certification shouldn’t be used. That means window cleaning, painting and other maintenance at height can’t go ahead until the system is re-inspected. We can inspect and recertify so your planned works stay on track.
Can you install anchor points on an existing building?
Yes. We look at the roof, the building layout and how it will be maintained, recommend anchor locations, then install, test and certify the new system.
Can you inspect a system another company installed?
Yes. We inspect and certify existing systems regardless of who installed them, and let you know clearly if anything needs repair or replacement.
